Gabrielle St. Croix was born, bred, and educated in the American South. Always adventurous, she has wandered extensively through the United States and abroad. She has been a wife, mother, bartender, blackjack dealer, commercial collections agent, and finally a freelance writer. A voracious reader, Gabrielle dealt with the stress of her divorce three years ago by reading everything she could get her hands on: romance, adventure, horror, mystery; she couldn’t get enough. One day, after writing a particularly depressing non-fiction piece about the planet’s impending environmental meltdown, she decided to escape by writing some fiction instead of reading it. She has been living in an alternate reality ever since, occasionally stopping to feed her five-year-old son and to fulfill her freelance writing obligations. Besides writing, Gabrielle likes to swim, ski, hike, run, go on mad shopping sprees with her mother, play “dragon hide-and-seek” with her son, watch movies, and hang out with her other geek writer friends. Gabrielle lives with her son in North Carolina. ¬The Wolves of Shadow Mountain is her first published novel. |
